German Australian Travel has been dedicated to exceptional service since it was founded in 1982. After taking over the business in 2002, Janka Weis built on strong foundations and expanded the agency’s reputation for:

Following the pandemic, Janka stepped down from daily operations, and the business is now led by her daughter Jasmin, together with long-term family friend Gisela. Their shared passion for travel and commitment to client care ensures the ethos Janka established continues to thrive.

Originally from Dresden, Janka brought an unbridled love for the world and its wonders, paired with the classic attention to detail and comfort of an experienced traveller. Her legacy lives on through a dedicated team who continue to uphold these values.

Since joining the business in 2014, Jasmin has developed a strong passion for student group travel, planning and organising everything from start to finish alongside teachers, while building lasting relationships with schools and families.

She also loves creating customised itineraries for individual clients, often offering suggestions that enrich their travels and elevate their overall experience.

Gisela first joined the family business in 1997 and continued working alongside Janka when she took over. Much like Jasmin, she has a strong passion for student travel and customised itineraries, and she also enjoys finding unique walking tours and niche experiences for her clients.
